Quick answers for planning, timers, widgets, Live Activities, iCloud, and purchases.

Common questions

How do I start my first timer?

Touch the colored hour hand and drag clockwise to set a duration. While dragging, move toward or away from the center to switch activities. Check the activity and time shown, then release to start.

Why did a short activity disappear?

Activities shorter than three minutes are filtered from actual activity history to reduce accidental entries. Use a session of at least three minutes to try the history feature.

What is the difference between planned and actual time?

Planned time is your intention. Actual time starts when the timer begins and ends when you stop it. You can edit the actual start and finish later while keeping the original plan.

How do I finish early or continue overtime?

Tap the active timer below the dial to finish early. If the planned time passes, PlanDial continues measuring until you stop it.

Why is the Live Activity or widget not updating?

Open PlanDial once, allow notifications and Live Activities, then add the widget again if needed. Low Power Mode and system refresh limits can delay updates.

How does iCloud backup work?

When iCloud is available, PlanDial keeps supported app data in your private iCloud container so it can follow you across devices signed in to the same Apple Account.

Does PlanDial require a subscription?

No. PlanDial is a paid app with all features included. There are no subscriptions or in-app purchases.

How can I remove my data?

Delete individual records in PlanDial. To remove synchronized data, also manage PlanDial in your iCloud settings. Contact support if you need help locating these controls.
